Game of Thrones Season 7: A Glance at Daenerys and the Stark Children
Game of Thrones is set to return in July, and the Dragon Queen is angered that someone else is occupying her throne. Hardened by her journey as a Khaleesi, Daenerys Targaryen was last seen on a ship accompanied by thousands of warriors at her disposal and ready to eliminate anyone who stands in her way.
HBO recently released a teaser that included Daenerys as the potential new Queen of Westeros, as the fierce Queen of the Andals can be seen addressing an unknown character.
In the aforementioned teaser she tells the character of her plans to overthrow Queen Cersei and at the end says, “Shall we begin?”
Game of Thrones continues to be a huge hit among fans across the world. The series first aired in 2011 and the first episode attracted 2.2 million viewers in the U.S. alone, and 5.4 million across multiple Sunday and Monday airings. Even Season 6 of the show was still extremely popular around the world. The season finale gained 8.9 million viewers in its initial viewing, which was up by 10% from the Season 5 finale.
Game of Thrones’ success led to the creation of many other mediums apart from the hit TV show. To date, the franchise has two successful games in the form of Telltale’s Game of Thrones, and Slingo casino gaming’s very own Game of Thrones 15 Lines. It’s quite common now for new casual games to come out every time a new season is about to air, and fans can expect this to happen again with the upcoming Season 7 on the horizon.
Also included in HBO’s teaser trailer is the new King of the North, who was finally accepted by the northern houses in the last season. Jon Snow, however, seems quite worried in the trailer as he turns to his companions. Maybe he’ll be facing a new wave of White Walkers in Season 7? Fans can only speculate at this point but the likelihood is Snow will be extremely busy in the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Sansa can be seen traversing her way through Winterfell’s woods looking frightened. Whether the fear on the Stark children is due to the impending attacks from Cersei or the White Walkers, no one can be sure right now. But one thing’s for sure: the Starks have Bran, whose skills have yet to be utilized in the series. Jon has also now become a prime candidate for the throne and will become even more of a target once they find out he’s a blood relation to the Targaryens.
On the other hand, Arya, a graduate of the House of Black and White, looks as confident as usual as she rides her way to Winterfell.
The promo clip gives away very little away but it has certainly intrigued fans as to how the next season will play out.
