Sound panels installed! Desk set up for simple webcasting and podcasting. In Phase two I work on lighting and green screen.
Today I began Phase One of building “The Nexus,” the streaming studio for the Taproot Media broadcast empire. Phase One consists of hanging 16 sound treatment panels along the walls.
Each panel requires anchoring four “z clips” to the walls:
Then I have to anchor the corresponding z clips on the panel:
And if I get everyone one of the gazillion measurements just right, I can actually hang it on the wall:
I calculated the height off the ground to center on my mouth level sitting and standing so that the panels will absorb the primary sound reflection at both levels.
I’m amazed that this first panel came out pretty darn near perfectly level:
Only 15 more to go! At this rate I figure I’ll get done sometime in February, of 2018! Roslin is supervising. But as with all things, her primary concern is how this new project is going to affect her feeding schedule!
