I’m super psyched to announce that I’ve been accepted as a speaker at WordCamp Raleigh 2016!
My presentation is called “Lies, Damned Lies, and Google Analytics” or “A case study in the dangers of relying on data that is easy to obtain instead of getting the data that is actually useful.” I’ll be walking through my journey in how I learned to use Google Analytics to develop a promotion plan for my podcast website. I’ll show you which reports I found most useful, how I had to use some WordPress plugins to gather site usage data that was relevant, how I interpreted that data using Google Analytics’s custom segmentation feature, and some of the plugins I installed and started using as a result of my analysis.
